The in-home cleaning process is a simplified process designed for synthetic, machine woven rugs without fringe or heavy soiling. In order to thoroughly clean larger, more soiled, fancier or natural fibre rugs, we need access to our facility and full range of tools.

Many homeowners wait to book a cleaning until area rugs have a spot or stain, or traffic areas appear worn. What you may not realize is that, over time, even area rugs in low traffic areas collect dust and soil below the surface where regular vacuum cleaning may not reach. To preserve the appearance of your rugs, most carpet manufacturers recommend professional cleaning every 12-24 months for regular traffic area rugs. Rugs in low traffic areas which are vacuumed regularly can wait 36 months between cleanings if there are no stains or concerns.

Light, small, inexpensive rugs can be cleaned in home, at the preference of the customer, however, it’s important to understand that the results are not going to be comparable to a thorough restorative area rug cleaning in our dedicated area rug cleaning facility. If you have a small spill or spot, clean it carefully and quickly, while it is still wet, following our stain guide. Use an absorbent material such as a cloth diaper or disposable diaper or feminine pad to absorb as much as possible. If there is a large volume of liquid, we recommend calling a professional, as it will be difficult to extract on your own.

BioTreat Protector

For accidents that soak deep into the carpet, we recommend Biotreat. Biotreat consumes organic material, reducing or completely removing odours and renewing the life of your area rugs.

Before we protect your area rugs, we can apply our Spring Breeze Deodorizer to leave your carpets smelling fresh. Spring Breeze Deodorizer™ is an odour counteractant that is applied along with our enzyme based pre-conditioner to address odour concerns that you may have with your area rugs. It is designed to increase the strength of your cleaning by combating odours caused by smoke, foods, pet oils, dander and more while leaving behind a pleasant, fresh scent.

Maintaining Area Rugs Between Cleanings

Vacuum thoroughly: Although it may not be obvious, dust and dirt settle into your rug from the air and every day use. Vacuuming your rug thoroughly and frequently keeps it looking great longer. How frequently you should vacuum is based on how must dust is in the home and how much use the rug gets, but a good rule of thumb is once per week, or 2-3 times per week for rugs in high traffic areas.

Keep up the Cleaning: Carpet manufacturers recommend professional cleaning every 12-24 months in order to maintain your warranty and keep your carpets looking great for as long as possible. Cleaning your carpets regularly can prevent premature wear, improve appearance and prolong their life.

Before even entering my home, I have been met with kind and helpful voices over the phone. On the day of the cleaning, despite the challenges of finding parking around my home, they found a way to do it and they continued on. The carpet cleaning itself was fantastic - a lot of the stains were managed and the carpet looks better than when I initially moved in. What I really loved the most though was the genuine care I was given throughout the process (before the cleaning, during, and after). I wish I can give 10 Stars!!! What a team!! Justin W and Alfredo did an amazing job on my furniture cleaning. I called them in as a construction crew did some renovations on my roof and damaged my furniture. I was mortified- I thought it was ruined. I had Alberta Carpet Cleaning hoping that I would be able to salvage my furniture. To my shock and surprise, they came in and made my furniture look like new!! They were punctual, were super friendly and again did an amazing job. Fantastic service for the price paid (which is a lot less expensive than replacing my furniture!) Had Alberta carpet cleaning to come and clean our carpets on the apartment we just sold. I believe it was a fellow named Nick who came to our place to conduct the cleaning. Firstly, what an epic attitude to have! The kid (younger fellow, just using the term in a positive nature) was beyond friendly, super informative and willing to answer all questions. Didn’t realize you could not wear leather shoes on the carpet when cleaning or after (thanks nick) for they will transfer colors. Nick also cleaned the apartment in a super quick and good fashion. Let us know the high traffic areas you won’t be able to get the west and tear out but my lord! The carpet was so clean I almost couldn’t even tell there was wear and tear. Will be coming back to use these guys again for any house or commercial situation I will encounter. Money well spent in my opinion and look forward to dealing with you guys again. Also, they offer furnace cleaning????!!!!! Looks like I need to review that next!

I am very pleased with the professional cleaning of our rugs and recliner . I have had other company’s in the past and there workmanship does not compare to the terrific job that the agent for Alberta Carpet cleaning did . The Tech ( Sol) was professional and did not try to BS me on products or application. He suggested products that complemented my requirements with a active older Dog and cat . It was a tough cleaning job and carpet looks very good .
