How often should I clean?

Carpet manufacturers recommend routine professional steam cleaning/hot water extraction (what we do!) every 12-18 months. If you have a lot of people and pets, you may want to aim for more frequently, and for rooms or homes with low traffic or use, waiting longer is going to be fine.

Furniture & area rugs generally can be cleaned every 12-24 months, but this also depends on visible spots and soiling, and how much use they get. What is certain is whether you clean regularly or you are far past this 12-18 month window, almost certainly, your carpet, upholstery and rugs are going to look better!

Can you remove everything?

While we can’t guarantee the removal of permanent stains, or repair wear-related damage, professional carpet cleaning is a modest expense compared to the cost of carpet replacement and is almost certainly worth a try before you think about replacing.  Learn more about handling spots or spills.

Why Clean Regularly?

1. Your stuff will last longer – over time soil can accumulate in your carpet, rugs and furniture that can’t be removed by vacuuming alone. This can contribute to increased wear and tear. As you walk or sit on it, the soil can be abrasive, damaging the fibres. Cleaning regularly, not just when the appearance becomes intolerable, extends the life of your carpet, area rugs and furniture.
2. They’ll look better – You might not even realize the true colour of your carpet or upholstery, if over time they have faded or become greyed with soiling. 
3. Decreases permanent staining – cleaning as soon as possible after spots or spills on your carpet or upholstery ensures the best chances of full spot removal, preventing permanent damage in the form of stains. 
4. Clean feels better! – when you’re getting professional carpet or in-home furniture cleaning, you generally take time to tidy up to ensure the whole area can be cleaned, so your whole home feels great after!
